Meeting in Plymouth we take the overnight ferry to Santander, aboard you have the comfort of an ensuite cabin, have time get to know others on the tour and enjoy dinner in one of the restaurants on board - maybe even a couple of beers!
Day 2 / 110 miles
Our ship, the Pont Aven docks in Santander 12.15. we ride a roundabout route through the Picos de Europa to our 3* Hotel near Cangas de Onis, stopping for some photos and refreshments en-route
Day 3 / 195 miles
A great days riding on twisty roads through one of the National parks with some more amazing views, slowly the road will open out into glorious bends you’ll want to ride twice! Tonight we rest at a 4* Hotel on the Pilgrim Trail.
Day 4 / 169 miles
More empty roads take us on a roundabout route through the National park and its forests towards Santiago de Compostela and our good 3* Hotel located in the old City. Secured Parking is pre-arranged.
Is a planned day off although a ride or two is available, but with so much to see you may prefer your walking boots to riding boots!
Day 6 / 190 miles
We cross into Portugal using smooth and interesting roads into the Pineda Gerês National Park for some superb riding. Our 4* hotel (secure parking) for the night is in a great location and perfect place to relax over a couple of drinks and watch the world go by and with so many restaurants to choose from you'll be spoilt for choice
Day 7 / 195 miles
We leave the Hotel and ride through the Douro valley wine region then onto the Serra de Estrela national park stopping at our nearby 4* Spa Hotel with secure parking. We stay here for two nights ..
A well-earned day off enjoying the scenery and local area or enjoy one of our guided (or unguided rides) We provide a choice of routes of about 50 to 120 miles which take you through, over and around this beautiful national park and up to the Torre monument, which marks the highest point of mainland Portugal.
Day 9 / 200 miles
We're heading back in to Spain today through the Sierra de la Culebra and then up to a magnificent viewpoint the heading towards the Cantabrian Foothills staying in a walled city in 3* accommodation with secure parking.
Day 10 / 195 miles
Heading through the twisties today, lunching beside Lake Riano and continuing north we journey up to our 3* hotel (with secure parking) in the heart of the Picos de Europa
Day 11 / 155 miles
After a later breakfast today we head back to the ferry but not before riding some spectacular roads around the Picos and Parque Natural de Fuentes Carrionas. The last evening together and a chance to swap numbers and stories with new friends on the voyage home to Plymouth
