Meeting in Plymouth we take the overnight ferry to Santander, aboard you have the comfort of an ensuite cabin, have time get to know others on the tour and enjoy dinner in one of the restaurants on board - maybe even a couple of beers!
Day 2 / 110 miles
Leaving the ship early afternoon we take a twisty scenic ride towards the mountains, lakes and gorges of the area and view some sights of the Picos de Europa.
Day 3 / 150 miles Our journey continues through this biking mecca as we wind through gorges on sweeping well surfaced, roads then onto tighter twisty roads up & across a dam towards our 4* hotel overlooking the beach and Picos mountains
Day 4 / 200 miles
Today is about getting from the Cantabria Region to Navarra region..So we can have some Pyrenean fun tomorrow - across country on progressive sweeping roads to Pamplona and our 3* Hotel right next to the historic old town
Day 5 / 190 miles
Views and Tight mountain Roads.
Todays plan is to head north from the foothills of Spain to the old Basque Capital of St Jean Pied de Port After a coffee we head SE - Up and back into Spain then following a border road Back into France toward our 3* Hotel

Twisty mountains today with lots of "cols" Tourmalet, Aspin, Mente, Portet d Aspet to name some well known ones
We will rest in a super hotel with great restaurant tonight ready for a shorter day tomorrow to enjoy Carcassonne
Day 7 / 110 miles
Back roads to Carcassonne
An easy day today - we take balconied roads and tight gorges to our hotel the heart of the city where we can leave our bikes secured and enjoy some time off the road to enjoy this UNESCO world heritage site (maybe sample the local wine too!)

Back into Spain
One of our favourite days
We have plenty of time to stop (due to French/Spanish mealtimes) and take a look at some POI en-route and stopping for lunch in Amelie les-Bains
Varied roads from deep narrow gorges, narrow country lanes and faster roads. Its amazing how the landscape changes as we cross into Spain. We rest near Campdevànol tonight and a decent Hotel with a reasonable restaurant and secure parking
Day 9 / 200 miles
Superb Twisties today - exhilarating road, corners and sights today on not commonly known roads. A decent 3* Hotel tonight with a good restaurant near Castejón de Sos
Day 10 / 195 miles
We leave our Hotel and enjoy more of the super mountain roads of Spain some tight roads and some open Tonight we will Stay in a 3* hotel in the heart of Logrono to enjoy a night of "Pinchos" and maybe some local Rioja wine!
Day 11 / 105 miles
Breakfast and then on through the fantastic scenery to Santander to get our overnight ferry, a chance to have a final beer swap numbers and share memories before a nights sleep
Ferry Docks in Plymouth and we head to home wherever that may be.
